*Purchased by Me*
Hi guys! Today, I want to share one of my biggest lemmings with you. From the moment that I saw Götterdämmerung from Nerd Lacquer, it was love at first sight. Sadly, I found this breathtaking polish while Nerd Lacquer was between restocks. I scoured blog sales and Facebook group sales, but was always too slow to grab it. Long story short, I was finally able to snag it, and I have been a happy lil' polish addict since!
Götterdämmerung is a blue-purple duochrome with varying shades of purple glitter, and silver microglitter. It is seriously like you've taken the night sky and bottled it. It makes a fantastic base to your galaxy manis. It's glittery; it's sparkly; it's just about everything you could want in a polish.
As my bottle was from a blog sale, I will not comment on the formula. However, like with many of the other Nerds that I own (either purchased from blog sales or directly from Nerd Lacquer), I had the problem with sinking glitters. Some bottles just need a good shaking to get them all mixed up, but this one needs a bit more. My remedy to the significant sinking glitters is to leave the bottle upside down for about a day before I wear them.
I have to touch on the drama surrounding the polishes and the creator. I would feel terrible if one of you saw this polish, fell in love like I did, and did not know what you were getting into with the brand. Restocks have been spotty, communication with the seller is severely lacking, and there are many people who never get their orders. The polishes have inconsistent formulas (significant variances between restocks can occur), and most have issues with sinking glitters and pigment separation. I know many people think that all of this adds up to just too much drama, and believe that there are other indies, with better business practices, that make pretty cool polishes. I personally have never experienced any problems with my orders. I may not get a shipping notification, but I have always received the polishes that I have ordered. But I also know going into the order that I may not receive it, and will have to file a dispute.
All that being said, I think the polishes are still unique to take the chance with ordering. I have more than 20 Nerd Lacquer polishes, and I have not been disappointed with any of them. Just look at the depth and intricacies of Götterdämmerung!
If you want to take a chance on trying to pick up Götterdämmerung or any other Nerd Lacquers, you can keep your eyes open online for a restock at NerdLacquer.com. The best advice that I can give on ordering is to try to place your order as soon after a restock as you can. Out of the past few restocks, the only people who have ordered weeks after the initial restock have had problems receiving their orders. Götterdämmerung typically sells out quickly, so you'll need to be fast!
Until next time,
