Greetings! I hope your weekend was better than mine! Sunday is always laundry day, and this week, I had a ton of clothes to wash. And of course, my dryer decides to stop working for me... on the first load that I did. I'm hoping that my husband can figure out what's wrong with it, and get it working!
Today, I'm going to share two of Zoya's Matte Velvet polishes with you. I loved them so much that I went back and picked up another set so that one of you can try them too! Be sure to enter at the end of the post!
The Matte Velvet polishes are designed to be worn without a base or topcoat, however you can use a topcoat to get an entirely different look from the polish.

First up is Posh. It's described as a "medium cool-toned wine red with metallic red shimmer." This color is so elegant, yet sexy! Not to mention being a perfect red for the holidays!
The formula was absolute perfection. I only needed 1 coat for these photos. It's insanely pigmented! The photo below shows what Posh looks like with a topcoat. The topcoat really makes the shimmer come to life!
Next, I have Savita. This one is described as "a bold, vibrant medium purple with strong red and gold shimmer." I love purples so it was a no-brainer that this baby was coming home with me!
Savita is just a really lush shade. The fall and winter seasons are great for jewel tones, so this is perfect!
Savita's formula wasn't quite as good as Posh. The first coat was a little patchy, so I needed a second coat to even everything out. Below is what Savita looks like with a topcoat. Just like with Posh, the topcoat brings out the shimmer!
The wear with matte polishes is typically less than normal polishes, but here's a hint to make them last a bit longer - add a topcoat, and then add one more coat of the polish. You'll get the protection of a topcoat while keeping the matte look.
The Zoya Matte Velvet collection can be purchased at select stores, or from zoya.com. The polishes retail for $9.00 each.
Now for the giveaway! It is US only, and will end November 16 at 12:00AM EST. Be sure to read the terms and conditions for additional information.
Good luck!!!
Until next time,
I'm not always a big fan of matte polishes, but that Posh is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
